Privacy policy

What we collect

• Scan inputs: the brand name, domain, category and competitors you submit.
• Scan outputs: the answers the AI models returned, the sources they cited, and the scores we compute.
• Email address when you ask to see a report or request a proposal.
• Technical data: a hashed form of your IP address (for rate limiting — we cannot reverse it to the original IP), plus standard analytics events (see Cookies).

Why

To run the scan, send you the report, prevent abuse, measure our marketing, and — if you become a customer — deliver the work. Legal basis: performing the service you requested, and our legitimate interest in running and improving it.

Sharing

We send your scan questions to Perplexity, OpenAI and Google (Gemini) to generate results. We use Firebase (Google) for storage, Vercel for hosting, and Meta and Google for advertising measurement. We do not sell your data.

Cookies

With your consent we set analytics and advertising cookies (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel) to measure which channels bring visitors. You choose on the banner; you can change your mind by clearing cookies. Essential cookies needed to run the site are always on.

Retention

• Scan data and reports: 12 months, then deleted.
• Leads and customer records: for as long as needed to run the relationship, then 24 months.
• Hashed IPs: 30 days.

Your rights

Email hello@getmentionrate.com to access, correct or delete your data, or to opt out of marketing. We respond within 30 days.
